3.1 - 'To Be or Not to Be'
Kai and Maris have left the house. Darya seems to miss her eldest son, Kai, because she takes a nap in his bed that night.
Poor Darya.
Tasi, again acting much older than he is, randomly acquires a drink and takes it into the bath tub with him. How? Why?
Tasi: 'I'm a writer, aren't I?'
Not all writers drink in the bath tub!
Once Tasi is appropriately a Young Adult, Shanice Wendt is invited over to begin the wooing. They have a sort of friendship already established, but they seem to get along okay.
This is a legacy, after all. I'm not exactly expecting sparks!
Seriously, though, she's adorable. I want them to have all of the babies.
I'm not so sure about adding Erratic and Hot-Headed into the family traits, though...
Despite Darya and Shanice having a decent relationship, Darya keeps making non-vegetarian dishes. Constantly. And Shanice eats them... because, I don't know. She's an aspiring chef! She can make her own.
Either way, Darya, you can't scare off your daughter-in-law.
Having a hot-headed sim in the house means the poor dollhouse needs repaired a lot. At least there aren't any kids to sob over it being broken... yet.
Which leads into Shanice telling Tasi that she's expecting, yay! I gave Tasi the Fertile reward trait, hoping for some multiples. I couldn't give it to Shanice because she didn't have enough points. Bummer.
And Shanice is eating meat. Again. Which means she's sobbing, she's angry, and she's sick! Stop it, you crazy woman. There is a plate of perfectly good pancakes right next to you! Why didn't you just eat that?!
Tasi: 'Excuse me, but I won an award!'
Yes, yes you did. Congratulations. But you're still boring.
Tasi: 'You're the one who won't let me do anything but write books!'
This is true.
Nuihaur's time comes in the place he spent the most time. This man really cranked out the masterpieces. I don't think I've ever had a sim, in any of the games, reliably turn them out like he did. Thanks, Nuihaur!
Nuihaur: 'Why is everything dark? What's that music?'
Oh, uh... well...
Darya isn't about to lose her husband before she's old and gray. She sends Death packing and saves Nuihaur's life.
Definitely unexpected!
Despite Darya saving Nuihaur, no one else seems to have gotten the memo. In fact, Darya herself is mourning him despite the fact he's very much alive next to her.
Shanice wanders down to check things out.
Shanice: 'I thought he was dead?'
Nope. He was resurrected.
Shanice: '...I'm pretty sure he's still dead.'
Sigh. He's right there!
Shanice: 'I'm just gonna keep acting like he's dead.'
In the wake of Nuihaur's near-death-but-not-actual-death, Tasi and Shanice quickly get engaged and married. I gave them a wedding arch, but couldn't be bothered to do much more than that.
They got a gold wedding party out of it, at least.
Tasi's brother and sister attended, along with his parents. The funny thing is everyone in this shot still thinks Nuihaur is dead, despite the fact that he's standing right there...
It's weird.
Shanice: 'Aren't you... dead? You don't look like a ghost.'
Nuihaur: 'I'm not! I'm alive.'
Shanice: 'But, like, we all are pretty sure you're dead.'
Sigh.
Nuihaur finally gives up that night, after the wedding and Darya's Elder birthday. Poor Darya checks her reflection as her husband passes away, for real this time.
There is no mourning moodlet. These sims have lost their minds.
Hard to believe Darya will eventually join him! Not for quite awhile, though...
Shanice: 'Sorry about your dad dying.'
Tasi: 'What? He died forever ago.'
Shanice: 'That's what I thought, but then...'
I don't know what's happening anymore, but nothing makes sense.
Shanice: 'That's not why I'm groaning... I think I'm in labor.'
Finally! It feels like she's been pregnant forever.
My hopes and dreams for multiples are crushed when we get a single baby, who is named Derya in honor of Tasi's mother. All of these names are on my Ocean-themed list, mind you. I like that I can make things like this happen, haha.
Generation three is born, woohoo!
