2.6 - Caution: Tree is Flammable
Everyone was actually hungry at the same time for Harvest Fest! Which is good, because this may be their last holiday meal together, all under one roof. I can't remember if Winterfest will happen before Kai and Maris age out or not.
Tasi spends a lot of his time chained to the computer I've put in Nuihaur's creativity room. I love being able to lock computers. It really helps keep guests and others from cluttering them up!
Nuihaur is just days from becoming an Elder and Darya hasn't even found a single gray hair yet. It isn't even Alien Magic... it's just The Sims 4, deciding that pregnancy is a fountain of youth and not a complete drain on your everything.
Sorry, but I did not come out of either pregnancy feeling younger and refreshed. How hard would it have been to put in an extra code that said: if near age transition, freeze aging? TS3 did it.
It's a shame Bella Goth is a married woman, because she loves breaking into the house (who even invited her in?!) and chatting up Tasi while he works on his writing skill.
In fact, Tasi is often the place to be when he's here. Everyone is always trying to chat with him.
I added some trees to the lot because it was a barren and sad looking. Mistake. Now there's endless waves of leaves and, apparently, they smell because everyone is uncomfortable when they go outside. So, the entire family gets to rake. Yay, quality time!
It still isn't enough. There's just too many leaves.
Kai--in desperate need of space, apparently--takes the tablet out onto the porch. This is significant. Not only is it freezing cold out, but when he's done... he leaves it there.
Which means, whenever anyone wants to use the tablet, they sit outside on the bench. This is pretty hilarious, but then it also happened during a blizzard!
The tablet remained there until toddlers came into the house and moved it back inside.
Kai becomes a Young Adult! The first of this generation to reach this milestone. I'm not kicking him out yet. Maris would be devastated. They can leave together.
Until then, I'll try to help him along his career as a Chef.
To me, he still looks a lot like Rory's alien form.
Everyone has breakfast together. It's going to be weird seeing the table mostly empty once these guys are gone! It seems like they are all on different schedules, so they rarely eat in a big group like this. It's usually just one or two sims, and even then, they just go watch television in the next room.
Obligatory Winterfest picture! I missed getting a shot of how they messed up the garland. I rarely ever see the mess-ups!
This Winterfest was special because...
The tree caught on fire! They were lighting it and then whoosh! FIRE. I was so stunned and laughing too hard that I had to pause immediately, which is why you don't yet see the flames. The game hadn't even conjured them yet and Kai was already springing into action.
I can't tell if Maris is upset that Kai is ruining the tree (still no flames) or because there's a fire. Either way, hilarious.
As per usual, the maid doesn't care.
They successfully put out the fire.
Darya: 'Is the fire gone?'
You're a real gold medal mother, aren't you, Darya? Your son put it out.
Darya: 'Did you not see that green tree disappear into flames? Green is extremely flammable.'
I doubt that you're made out of the same things as the tree...
It's worth noting that Tasi was out there with her, so at least she saved the important kid?
Nuihaur is still flush with bravery when old age calls to him. He doesn't seem to mind. He gets a bit of a makeover befitting of his new, aged form.
The background and that stance are killing me. Maris' room as the easiest accessible dresser, so almost everyone uses it after aging up.
Nuihaur may be older, but that doesn't mean the spark is gone. They're still flirting up a storm. In fact, Darya has been randomly spinning 'Try for Baby' whims since she was a Young Adult.
Sorry, sister. We've got what we needed from this generation!
That's great and all, but having mixed drinks, I would not want to do it in the freezing cold. He's not even wearing gloves.
Kai: 'You could try moving the bar inside...'
Nah, pass.
Darya is constantly harassing poor Tasi while he's trying to write. I haven't had him do any actual books yet, I'm waiting until his skill is at least eight. He got it after I snapped this photo, which means we're go for writing/publishing!
I have a feeling I'm going to be very tired of this yellow room soon...
With only a few days left as a teen, Tasi goes out to see if there are any girls better than the mail lady I've kept on the back-burner for a disturbingly long time now.
This pre-made girl was a contender--and clearly into it--until I saw her cheeks. Yikes! No thanks.
Maris is ready to be a Young Adult so she and her brother can flee. They'll hang out in immortality, watching the generations pass them by. Disturbing, sure, but hey, it's not my fault the game bugs if you have too much generational play going on!
Tasi and Maris have a lukewarm relationship. They went through bouts of teasing one another and Maris especially went in on him during her 'Meanie' phase... but they still get along.
Maris becomes a Young Adult and that pre-made Bergen or whatever girl is hanging out in the background. She came from school with Maris, probably hoping to get in on this legacy business.
Sorry, it's still no.
Nuihaur sits down at Kai and Maris' last breakfast at the house and seems to give them the once over. Poor old guy probably isn't going to make it much longer, unfortunately.
But this is where we end it! Tasi is a day or so from being a Young Adult, so we're nearly there.
