The Cowplant lives! For awhile, at least. I never keep these alive long. Not since Sims 2. They're just a pain. The last one I had was years ago, when this game first came out...
It's super cute that Darya comes running anytime Rory gets home. Neither of the kids do this for Kailani...
Which isn't to say she doesn't spend time with them, she definitely does. Caspian is just a little jerk. He doesn't have any traits that should make him this way,
he just is. He went through a phase where he wanted to be mean and then just... never stopped. He fights and argues with everyone. It's annoying.
And just as soon as it lives... it's dead. R.I.P. Cowplant. Thanks for your contribution to Kailani's aspiration milestone. At least the skeleton looks cool.
When he's not being a little terror, Caspian relaxes out in the pool I never got a chance to put Darya in as a toddler. Why?

Darya and Caspian play a lot of chess, since Darya's childhood aspiration is
Whiz Kid. She's a Perfectionist like her mother. Actually, the randomizer gave her all of Kailani's traits. I'm bummed but also glad I'm not stuck with
Dance Machine or
Kleptomaniac.
The dogs are largely ignored because they're driving me crazy. Maybe I just suck, but pets were way more fun in the previous games...
Rory is a good, but busy dad, who is always happy to help the kids with their projects. Who better than an alien engineer?
Kailani completes her aspiration of
Freelance Botanist alongside maxing out
Gardening. All that's left is to top her career. To do that, she's going to need to arrange a ton more flowers...
And this is the point where I sent the dogs packing. Zeus and Aki are both elders, which means they're perpetually sick. Forever. Always. No matter what I do. Zeus decided to vomit for half a sim day and nothing I did would stop it. I couldn't even take him to the vet.

Caspian becomes a Teenager. Unfortunately for him, he seems to have gotten the worst from both parents. He's also a
Kleptomaniac Dance Machine who wants to eventually become an
Archaeology Scholar. Sorry, buddy. It isn't likely. You're just so damned mean.
The only person in the house who doesn't seem bothered by his unending rudeness is his little sister. Darya just laughs and brushes it off. They spend a lot of time together.
Kailani spend half a sim day raking leaves from the trees I just put in only to play in them. Seriously? You're just making a mess all over again!
Kailani maxes out
Flower Arranging and then gets her promotion. Hooray! That means she's pretty much done and can just hang out.
Which sucks because her little greenhouse is one of my favorite spots. Much like all legacies, it will soon be forgotten and overrun with cobwebs.
Rory isn't far behind in his career and aspiration. The aspiration is lagging because I really want to see all the cool Engineering stuff. He finally made the robotic arm, which is just freaking awesome.
Also, anytime I give these two a minute, they run to each other and start being romantic. It's cute.
Darya becomes a Teenager and a lovely one, at that! Obviously, her favored color is going to be black. It just suits her. She's a Perfectionist who Loves Outdoors and eventually wants to have a Successful Lineage. I think we can handle that!
