4.4 - No More Creativity

Raul is working on his second career for Renaissance sim--Teacher--and is usually chained to the computer or his grading book. Nereus is quite keen to keep him company, as he's his favorite parent. Cute.

Meanwhile, Tasi is outside trying to die! What is wrong with you? Have you gone senile?

Tasi: 'So... cold...'

Go get a warm bath, you fool.

This AI madness is driving me, well... mad. They refuse to quit whatever they're doing--even if I didn't assign it--even when it need failure. Argh!

Mira is back and she's less happy than before. You're becoming a progressively sad ghost, Mira... and you're freaking out Nereus.

Mira: 'Sigh. I'm just thinking about how I could have had children...'

I'm sorry. It really does suck.

Nereus: '...who floaty lady?'

No wonder this poor kid keeps having nightmares.

The twins become children (finally!) and they're cute... but I'm super partial to Ianthe. I have this sneaking suspicion she's going to be gorgeous and I wouldn't mind having her as heiress. Right now she's Squeamish and Nereus is Outgoing.

Nereus: 'I'm just so glad to be here!'

Ianthe: 'This salad tastes... off.'

Derya is a constant over at the house, which is sweet. Helle visits often, too. I love having the girls drop in.

Sedna is still heavily pregnant because time moves like molasses these days.

Derya imparts some spare wisdom onto Nereus, just in case the random number generator doesn't fall in his favor. Given how well she's adjusted to her immortality, I'd say she's a good person to go see about it.

I do miss seeing their descendants/etc, but my experience with The Sims games is that if you have Story Progression on... the game isn't programmed to handle it. It just isn't. Not for ten generations, especially. Which is dumb, because I have a beast of a computer. Frustrating, but nowhere near worth losing my save or all of the bugs that come with it.

The twins spend tons of time together because they're twins and honestly, no one in this house really socializes with the outside world.

It's like they're in quarantine without the scary virus.

Sedna doesn't let her father do all of the parenting. Now that the twins from hell have grown, she can step in and help out. I'm also convinced she's going to be pregnant forever with this last kid...

Perseus is born! Again, the skintone is a lie. Why are TS4 babies so freaking weird? Come on.

I'm bummed that they're done but this house is full to bursting and I can't really handle much more.

Tasi loves trying to teach Glaucus to talk but he isn't quite as thrilled. It would certainly help when it comes to getting the attention of adults. Toddlers who can talk seem to have better luck getting what they want instead of forever being stuck in a high chair.

Because Perseus was born and we're done with kids, I randomly generated the heir. It's Glaucus! I'm bummed it wasn't Ianthe, but Glaucus looks like he should be pretty cute, too. And hey, a new hair color!

Glaucus, understandably, is more interested in his chicken saltimbocca.

Sedna endeavors to teach newly grown Perseus how to talk. Let's face it, the kid is on his own, I'm up to my neck in child aspirations and trying to make sure Glaucus gets his toddler skills in. Sigh!

The creativity room is packed these days. Both Nereus and Ianthe have art aspirations and Raul is working on guitar for his next skill. Glaucus will eventually join them, because all three kids in a row got the damn art aspiration.

I'm so tired of these kid aspirations!

A Winterfest breakfast, without the toddlers, who are thankfully still asleep. I probably should have bought a bigger table but meh, I liked how this one fit in the space.

And the tree is somewhere else for the first time in generations! It's upstairs, where the exercise equipment used to be. I moved all of that in preparation for another active sim to be heir.

Gathering and chatting in the bedrooms is still an Ocean tradition. I wonder if this will die off with Tasi? I hope not.

Perseus is the first toddler to make a mess in forever while his older brother, Glaucus, looks on disapprovingly. Honestly, he's just dancing, but he does look unimpressed.

Which is fine, because now he's a child and joins his older siblings in the creativity room. Huzzah for the horrible screeching of wrongly-plucked violin strings.

Sedna continues her tradition of really only bothering with her kids when it involves putting them to bed. I feel you, girl, and I only have two.

Sedna: 'I guess it's something that he has never passed out on the floor...'

True.

Shanice rarely ever changes out of her pajamas and Raul is still trying for that last teacher promotion. Ianthe has decided she will wear nothing but her winter wear from now on.

Shanice belatedly joins her husband in the gray hair club and gets a makeover suiting her new, aged countenance. Honestly, the hair I picked just looks like her regular hair pulled back and I thought that made sense for her.'

In the background there, you can see Tasi is again chatting from one of the beds. It's seriously how he spends 50% of his time.
