7.1 - Surprise Endings

Now the heiress, Asherah decides to cash in on her power by suggesting that her seemingly immortal grandpa cook up some potions to help her out.

Glaucus: 'I'll teach you to make them yourself, how about that?'

Asherah, groaning: 'But that'll take too long!'

Glaucus: 'Tough. You need to learn more about what you are.'

Hard to believe you were once completely useless and inept.

Wait, no. No it isn't.

Glaucus: 'Says the woman who hasn't just killed me off yet.'

Asherah and Kiyoshi reconnect once he's aged up. I'm really over this bug, by the way. I even removed my mods and repaired my game. Nadda.

So, MCCC to the rescue!

These guys are cute. I gotta say. I can't wait for babies.

Asherah, despite being the domestic sort, is seemingly in no hurry. She spends her days hanging by the pool, chatting with her sister Tiamat.

I'm giving her some time to enjoy life before she's drowning in children. I don't think she'll snag a job until later. Her hobbies right now are guitar playing and singing, since she seemed to loved doing karaoke with Kiyoshi when they were teenagers.

I feel like this took entirely too long. Maybe it's harder with a full house and responsibilities. Morgan barely helped raise her children, though. She literally dedicated her life to this.

Mr. Grandmaster is busy making potions. He might as well unlock everything if he's stuck here and do something useful for a change.

Glaucus: 'How is it my fault everyone uses this thing to make macaroni and cheese?'

It isn't, but I'm gonna blame you, anyway.

He does discover a potion to stop aging. I wonder if it would have the opposite effect on him? Tempting.

Morgan gets dolled up and heads down to place her star in its rightful place. Though... isn't that askew?

Morgan: 'How else am I going to stand out?'

Seriously. That's just... that should be a crime. Fix it!

Morgan: 'You've made me place it five times and it always ends up like this.'

Why does this game suddenly hate me?! I'll fix it in manage worlds, sigh...

Asherah proposes to her long time love, Kiyoshi. They won't be getting married yet, but she actually wanted to, so why not?

What's more romantic than a crowded restaurant?

All these two do anymore is work out obsessively. Anytime I let them idle, this is where they go. It's a bit ridiculous.

They've both earned the indoorsy and active lifestyles due to it. Which is hilarious, because they Love Outdoors.

Asherah gets to enjoy something few of my other legacy sims get the opportunity to--dating. They're engaged, sure, but when Kiyoshi invites her out, I accept.

They ended up at the university bar where there was a beer pong table. Kiyoshi won, of course. Never challenge a Bro to beer pong.

Seriously, guys? I'm pretty sure I made it VERY clear that I was quite sick of people sneaking up here to misappropriate the cauldron!

Tiamat: 'We're teenagers.'

Yam: 'Yeah, what do you expect?'

Argh! This is not a giant mac and cheese cooker!

Tomax becomes an Elder who is thoroughly confused as to why his father-in-law is still kicking. 

It has to be super weird. To be honest, we're all stumped. There's long-lived and then there's Glaucus.

Morgan clearly wants tips.

Kiyoshi is an adrenaline junkie who just wants to climb and shred powder, so he makes a lot of use of the climbing wall.

My game patched and while it didn't seem to fix a lot of the issues I was having, it somehow rectified Glaucus' seemingly endless lifespan. So much for immortality, huh?

Glaucus: 'I was disappointed and then I wasn't.'

Well, glad to see you've made peace with it.

Glaucus: 'What? No scathing remarks? Really?'

Eh. It'd be like throwing salt in the wound. I'm not a complete monster.

Morgan: 'I thought you said he was immortal!'

Yam: '...this is traumatic on so many levels.'

Sorry, guys. None of us were prepared. I'm even a tiny bit bummed.

But now we have more room for babies!

Enjoy true retirement, Glaucus. You were the bane of my existence until you weren't. And the cool urn kind of makes up for it.

Don't be an annoying ghost.

Glaucus is barely gone a minute and resident bro Kiyoshi is already slamming back a potion.

Kiyoshi: 'What? Asherah told me to drink it.'

Oh, everyone's getting them. And then your wife is getting her butt up to Glaucus' old study and she's gonna pick up the slack.

I can't live without potions now.

Tiamat becomes a Young Adult and takes this moment to embrace truly immortality. Don't worry. You old age won't be able to touch you.

She rounds out Loves Outdoors and Self Assured with Goofball. Definitely fitting.

Asherah shares the happy news. Babies incoming! Finally. I've been holding off but it's about to be a whirlwind. Asherah is about to be pregnant for awhile.

Kiyoshi: 'Wait, what?'

Don't worry, buddy. You just have to be here to knock her up. The rest of the time you'll be climbing mountains and whatever else.

Kiyoshi: 'Oh, cool.'

Asherah: 'Wait, what?'

Despite that previous revelation, Asherah and Kiyoshi both have whims to get married. So they elope, in their winterwear, in the middle of the living room.

 Awww. Now back to work.

Yam is close to being on his way out, too. But until then, he finds ways to make himself useful. Like autonomously fixing things. 

I wish he'd stop fixing this, though. I'm tired of everyone dropping what they're doing to use it. It's obnoxious.

 I'm near the point of reinstalling entirely because these script problems are maddening.
