6.7 - Young Love & Immortality

Glaucus discusses his strange immortality with his best friend Morgyn. Clearly, who would know better than one of the most premier, ageless spellcasters around?

Morgyn is stumped.

I'm beginning to think Glaucus is bugged. I got the imminent demise pop-up before vacation. That was forever ago!

I got Nifty Knitting and Tomax is my test subject. It isn't like he has anything else to do.

So far, it's cute, but buggy. Then again, the entire game is buggy right now. Even without mods, my sims are having all sorts of script issues. Damn patch.

The WooHoo moodlets are something I notice, but don't pay much attention to. Except when they don't match up. Apparently, Tomax is way better at this than Morgan. I'm going to assume she's just selfish.

I'd believe it.

Either way, this amused me.

Asherah ran into Kiyoshi during vacation and was quite smitten. I let her go visit him and it only got worse. So, she sort of has a boyfriend now.

I guess we're going to marry another Maxis premade into the family. Seems to be the vibe these past few generations.

Asherah: 'He's dreamy.'

Glaucus has taken up alcoholism. What's with old sims and drinking profusely? It's a real problem in this game.

Glaucus: 'This is celebratory. I'm going to be here forever, driving you insane.'

Why does this game hate me? Of all the sims to make immortal...

Asherah and Kiyoshi step up their courting a bit. It's cute. I haven't had any teen romance in forever. I just usually don't bother with it, but for her, I guess it makes sense.

What's this? Is that a shine I see?! Finally!

Morgan: 'I'm a big time celebrity now. Where is my adoring public?'

Sheesh, what did you do, star in a marvel movie? You're ripped.

Morgan: 'Lots of action films.'

Whatever you did, it works. Now let's get that star!

It's nice, having a living room big enough to fit everyone at once. It's rare that they all gather together like this, though. I think this was New Year's Eve and they're watching the countdown.

Tiamat becomes a buggy teenager! I had to use MCCC to get her to age up. Sigh.

She wants to be Leader of the Pack and is Self Assured. It definitely checks out.

Tiamat enjoys watching her mother rehearse questionable scenes with her costars. I'm sure she uses them to then later harass her father.

Honestly, Morgan may be a lot of things... but she's never once tried flirting or messing around with anyone else. It's impressive.

The house is a little chaotic when everyone is home. Glaucus and Morgan apparently went for a swim in the snow when it's still spring and cold out. Brr!

Asherah is either always on the phone with Kiyoshi or having him come over.

Tomax is working on his Aspiration. Tiamat is usually causing trouble.

Chaos.

Now, wait just a minute, you two. That's not why I put that closet in!

Asherah: 'Go away. We're busy.'

Remember what you said, Asherah! You're still technically a kid.

Ugh, I gotta look away. This is too much for my delicate constitution.

Morgan is kind of an absent parent. She's always on set or preparing for a role. Tomax, however, is a standup dad. Good on you, buddy. These kids would be a mess otherwise.

I love it when sims interact autonomously with their kids.

Glaucus, buddy, I think you have a problem.

Glaucus: 'I can't stop! Why can't I stop?'

Bugs, my dude. They're everywhere. It's the same thing with you chain cooking in the early am. We just gotta power through.

 Glaucus: 'My hands are cramping!'

That's what you get for not dying.

Yam joins his sisters as a teenager. He looks a lot like Tomax. Tiamat seems to be a perfect mix of both while Asherah favors Morgan (and consequently, Glaucus.) All in all, an interesting mix of genetics.

He promptly attends high school in his pajamas and comes home in a sour mood. Well, what did you expect? At least get dressed!

Again, these script failures are killing me.

Glaucus takes up rocking climbing because, why not? If he's going to be stuck here, might as well make him do something. Other than annoy me.

Glaucus: 'At this point, you'd miss me if I died.'

Lies.

Asherah is very close to aging up into young adulthood and taking over as heiress. Her dad decides its a great time to give her the rundown on all things legacy-oriented.

While I appreciate the assistance, I think I've got this covered, thanks.

Provided I can get her to age up properly. Sigh. Cakes seem woefully broken.

Glaucus and Becca always had an... interesting relationship based mostly on their physical attributes, but this. This is just hilarious.

These lifestyles amuse me. I wish there were more.

The lovely Asherah becomes a Young Adult and takes the mantle as heiress.

I'm forced to move Glaucus up into his magical study, since he refuses to die and is taking up one of the bedrooms.

Her Aspiration is Big Happy Family so it's about to be an explosion of kids. Sigh.
