6.5 - Goodbye, Farewell...

We're back at a weird moment. Glaucus is an old fool who decided to go hard working out, so now he's stuck getting a mud bath to rid of that nasty overexerted moodlet.

Glaucus: 'I've got to keep my gains!'

You're my food factory. Stop trying to die.

Nereus is here, for some odd reason, and he's poorly trying to see to Yam's needs. Dude, what is even happening? Why are you here?

Nereus: 'I know Morgan, remember? The awards thing?'

Oh yeah, where you beat up that kid-

Nereus: '-teenager-'

Whatever. Stop harassing the baby!

Tomax bonds with Tiamat over food, something they both seem to love. Tiamat is always hungry. It's really annoying. She no sooner eats and she's hungry again.

Toddlers are both cute and maddening, much like in real life.

In case you thought the Oceans were no longer gathering inappropriately in bedrooms while people try and sleep... surprise! You were wrong.

There's no better place to work on homework than beside your sister's toddler bed while she sleeps... obviously.

A truly odd event is Morgan parenting. Behold, look how the absent mother awkwardly carries her young, uncertain of how to quench her endless hunger...

Morgan: 'I'm putting her in the highchair...'

But will you give her food? Will you?

Morgan: 'Yes, of course! Well... I'll try.'

Oh, but will you succeed? Previous attempts point to no.

Tomax likes spending time with the kids. I'm not entirely sure why he thought it was a great idea to take Tiamat outside, both in their jammies, to sit on the front porch for a story.

Seriously, Tomax, you rarely ever wear clothes. The previous photos are the most successive ones of you with a shirt on.

Tomax: 'I like to be comfy.'

There's comfy and then there's... this.

It's a heat wave and Morgan needs to work on her fitness for a role, so she swims some laps. Glaucus sees and it becomes a contest. Becca flees, knowing exactly where this is going.

Glaucus and Morgan momentarily assimilate in their urge to win.

Shockingly, Glaucus wins. Morgan is forever humiliated.

Some time later that day, Becca chooses this particular moment as her time to die. Right in front of the kids. Seriously, you couldn't wait? I got that pop up notification ages ago...

Becca: 'Nope, it's time! I'm outta here.'

Sigh.

Poor Yam had just aged up. He left his nursery, excited to see everything in a new way, only to witness one of life's cruelest truths and inevitabilities--death.

He can't even talk yet. I'm sure he'd have something witty to say if he could.

Asherah: 'Grandma...?'

Morgan: '...it doesn't look like she's acting.'

You guys might wanna look somewhere else. And Morgan, don't you dare start taking notes.

The kids are understandably broken up. Becca actually spent quite a lot of time with them, even as babies. She had just cuddled Yam moments before Tomax aged him up.

It's okay, kiddos. You'll see her again soon enough. She'll become a permanent fixture like the rest, I'm sure.

Goodbye, Becca! You were a surprisingly spirited addition to the household. You, and your powersuit, will be missed.

Glaucus' grief is a little different and so he drinks away the pain, as only someone widowed can.

Glaucus: 'It's a mood potion.'

Is it, though?

Glaucus: '...it definitely is. I've been saving it here on my nightstand for just this occasion.'

You better still have one squirreled away for Morgan, too. She's got an audition coming up!

With another potion drank, Morgan drowns her much more muted sorrows with acting. She's a pretty good pirate captain, even if she ends up dead. A lot of her roles end in death lately, and have her wooing women. I'm picturing her as an icon for queer sims everywhere, even if she's hopelessly straight. She plays a really good lesbian!

Tomax ages up to an Adult while I'm busy getting Morgan home. Oops, sorry! I didn't even realize it was so close. I must've missed the popup.

Tomax: 'I feel so mature.'

Really, in those glasses?

Asherah does her best to comfort Tiamat, who still seems to be reeling from the death of their grandmother. These two autonomously interact quite often and it's adorable.

Asherah is a good big sister... most of the time.

Tomax, meanwhile, is taking this bedside vigilance thing a little too far. Go take a break, buddy. I'm sure Yam is perfectly safe.

Glaucus has retired, so he spends most of his time just chilling.

Glaucus: 'I worked hard for this.'

Sure you did.

Glaucus: 'I'm going to enjoy retirement.'

By that, you mean you're gonna cook me endless amounts of food. Got it!

Tiamat becomes a child who Loves Outdoors and can't wait to just chat everyone up. I doubt I'll do her aspiration and I swear, Loves Outdoors is never going away. Ever.

Why did I do this to myself?

At least she's cute.

Speaking of going mad, Morgan still appears for her adoring fans, but her star level is going up so slowly, I want to jab my eyes with sporks.

Morgan: '...but the party doesn't start until I walk in!'

Attend more parties, then. Loudly. I don't know. We need that stupid star!

Morgan: 'I'm doing my best. Do you think it's easy to be this flawless?'

*eyeroll*

Tomax falls asleep on the raft at the beginning of Fall and tries to kill himself. What's the deal, dude? Who goes swimming when it's freezing cold outside, much less takes a damn nap? You have a bed!

Tomax: 'I saw one of Morgan's... movies.'

Oh. Which one? Was she making out with the girl or was it one of the rare occurrences where it's a dude?

Tomax: '...both.'

Yeah. That's rough. But still, get inside. I'm sure it was nothing. She's full of herself, but she's not a cheat.
